Program:

The program was presented by Jim Uno representing American Green Lights.  His topic was “Workshop Lighting”.  The program was both interesting and somewhat technical.  Jim will make the presentation text available to us in a pdf format. It should be posted by the time these minutes are circulated.

The main focus was lighting concepts for woodworkers.  The presentation had three parts: Color Temperature, Color Rendering Index, and Light Intensity.  The program contained may ideas for planning workshop lighting.  Anyone considering upgrading their lighting would find the notes useful.  Jim had many useful slides to illustrate what all the technical stuff meant.

Jim has offered to provide a free lighting design for members who wish to improve their shop lighting.  To participate provide a basic drawing of your shop including distances from ceiling to floor, ceiling to work surfaces, and room dimensions. Send the drawing to FWCW@americangreenlights.com Jim is also extending a price discount for any purchases.
