Program

Some of John's beautiful work

Show & Tell

Mike Wood brought in two items; a board to hold Kcups and a wavy walnut cutting board with a narrow maple curved insert exactly the width of the band saw kerf.

Platter with shells embedded in edge

Marvin Stolzfus brought in two examples. The one on the left is to show how he managed to get the epoxy edge on a wood platter. It took 4 epoxy pours to get this result.

Off center turning

Pat Kerr brought in a bowl with the inside of the bowl off center from the outside. This was the project at the April Turners meeting. Pat wanted to turn one so he wouldn't forget how it was done.

Bottle carrier

Todd Jones made this out of a single 2x4 for the contest last month. He added a bottle opener on one end and an acoustic speaker for a cell phone on the other end.

Drawing

Three numbers were drawn for door prizes.

One ticket was drawn for the raffle prize of two Jet parallel clamps.

One ticket was drawn for the 50/50 cash drawing of $195.00. Bill Clark’s ticket was drawn. Since he is up north for the summer, Mike picked a card for him. It was the five of clubs, so Bill gets $5 and the pot rolls over to next month. With the tickets that will be bought next month, the pot will be well over $200.
